If you had a single ultimate tech upgrade, what would you upgrade? Warp core? Ship shield? Primary ground weapon perhaps?
What do you think would give the most immediate and best benefit?

I want to come back...

I want to come back to STO. I forget what happened originally I think I got caught up in warfighting in EVE Online and just never got around to it... I did duck in a year or so ago? But saw that I was stonewalled a tier or two from end game ships. I'm willing to brave it and I don't mind hard work but I never could upgrade past a certain point since everything seems to require me to be in a fleet to progress. So how does end game work now? And does anyone have tips on how to progress past the mandatory fleet point? The reason I got stonewalled is I never can find an active fleet.

My problems with STD

Yes I'm going to tackle this. And you guys are free to list your comments and concerns with the show.

Starting with the Klingons.
1. Their Klingon sounds HORRIBLE. Just use it here and there then use the universal translator. My god it hurts my ears.
2. Ships. You're trying to tell me those...things....are set in between Ent and TOS? Yeah no.
3. However I could of bought it if those Klingons were an offshoot of the mutagenic virus that swept the Empire during Ent and left for the fringes of the empire to be alone and find their own way and now are back to fix the spineless pah'taq and lead the empire back to glory. Not a cheap shot at conservatism that has been sweeping the western world lately as a backlash to progressivism.

Now the Federation.
1. Technology. Specifically the spore drive and holographic communications. The former, because that tech simply does not fit. WAY too advanced for the day. This is something I'd expect to find in STO years after the Dominion war. Not 10 years before STO. And holographic coms? Ummm NO. That was JUST beginning to be toyed with in DS9 around 2371. Not 2254. Just NO.
2. Burnham. I abhor her character. All of it. Supplanting Spock as a HUMAN in the eyes of Sarek? Umm who wrote that mess? Mutiny? Wanting to shoot the Klingons without provocation flying in the face of Logic? Just a never ending message of badly written female empowerment of saying "hey you can break every rule in the book. But still be the hero." Make Burnham a male, yeah he'd if gone to prison and never seen the light of day.
3. Ship design. Felt like a retooled JJ verse show. Sizing was upscaled for no reason while trying to be prime timeline. Had this been it's own separate line, most of my issues disappear. Except for Burnham.
4. How I'd fix tech issues:
A. Scale correctly!!!
B. Replace spore drive with Transwarp. Now before we slip a gear. Excelsior was not stated in the movie to be the first ship ever to have it. Could of been the first ship to see if the tech could be used and massed produced while Discovery could be the first ship to actually be proof of concept. But at the time the federation didn't have the resources to mass produce the tech needed to fully outfit the fleet. And the holo communications, DITCH THEM. Use a damn screen like everyone else!!!
5. Aesthetics. Hey I get that if Gene had the tech of today, TOS would look WAY different. But stop going overboard and stop creeping ideas over from JJ verse. I get a lot of the production crew worked on those movies, but pull your heads out of your 6 if you want to be in the prime timeline for God's sake!

What didn't bother me.
1. Lorca. Too bad though he didn't get long enough screen time.
2. **** on screen relationship in a show. Didn't feel forced and felt organic to the show.
3. Holly wasn't bad but at times a bit too comical.
4. Re imagined Enterprise looked good. Almost like the second flight Enterprise the producers had in mind until they went with the TMP refit style. Someone said it best, JJ should of used a design like that in his movies.

Those are my biggest bones of contention with the show. STD is a major victim of the times we live in. Yes Star Trek many times pushed social issues into the show. Many times it felt organic to the story. Sometimes it was a bit too on the nose like the TNG episode that warp drive was hurting the universe. Biggest issue with the show it's almost ALL completely on the nose with its message and feels like they are beating me over the head with what they want to say rather than creatively sliding it into the story.

Just my thoughts and views. Take them as you will.

Run Deep crevice fix needed

I thought the Delta Qaudrent mission with the retracting floors was crazy but Run Deep tops it. Finidng the edge and point to jump is just nuts. A little more lighting or a more defined edge would help big time plus a way to get to the top if you land on one of the crystal projections would be nice. Not everyone has the reflexs of a 12 year old guys. Tried 25 times to finish that section I give up. Other then that love the new episodes.

I'm posting this bug report today because I have recently been having issues trying to save one of my bridge officers display names even know I have enough energy credits to save the display name, I have also been speaking to one of your customer support agents from The Perfect World Entertainment Team for the last four days who has kindly redirected me to post a bug report as all the troubleshooting tips we performed where unfortunately unsuccessful. I have also attached two screenshots of my issue to help you guys understand this issue better, if you need more info on my issue please do not hesitate to send me a private message.

Is there a reliable source of gamma marks in the game? The specific gamma queues bug out often and you get leaver penalties when one bugs out.

Feedback Suggestion Please Add A Red Alert Command While In Bridge Interior On Ship

Dear Star Trek Online Team,

I'm posting this feedback to you guys today as I think it would be awesome if you could add a new feature to the Star Trek Online game across all platforms. My Idea is for you guys to add a red alert command feature to the game so while players are inside there bridge interior they could activate this command causing the bridge interior to light up red and make that siren noise as seen in the Star Trek TV seasons and movies.

Hope you guys like my suggestion.

Suggestions for dead queues

I've noticed many threads talking about the lack of players playing Reputation PVE content. I have some ideas for alleviating this problem.

1. Remove all reputation PVE content and revamp them as single-player missions integrating them into the appropriate campaign for example the Borg missions would go under the Borg campaign. I realize this would be a great deal of work but it would keep the content in the game and allow players to experience it without waiting several minutes for a queue to pop or not at all.

2. Expand the red alert system. Right now these are the only queues that come up on a regular basis and consistently have very low wait times. There are two options, either a generic Red Alert with a random enemy Fleet to destroy like the Fleet Alert, or a red alert for every reputation enemy. (Romulan RA, Terran RA, Temporal RA etc.) With this option I would drop the choice of marks for the red alerts and confine rewards to the appropriate reputation, while increasing rewards accordingly. Use the Tholian red alert as a template (Several groups of ships) or the Tzenkethi alert (Groups of ships, protection of Defense satellites as optional objectives. Reputations with multiple main enemies could have a Red Alert with one or a combination of those enemies. For example a Temporal Red Alert could have Na'kul, Krenim, Vorgon or Terran enemies or a combination of them.

3. Add advanced difficulty red alerts. For the Tholian Red alert you could double the number of fleets to be destroyed. For the Borg, add destroying the Tactical cube as an optional for additional marks. Adv red alerts would also grant one elite mark of whatever choice the player made.

4. Revamp all battle zones and rewards to Dyson sphere standards. I'm mainly thinking of Defera and Kobali prime. The Dyson ground zone is still very popular even though its several seasons old. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

5. Add new enemies to the Fleet Alert possibilities. Krenim, Vaadwar, Hirogen, Iconians etc.

Why are most of pve queues empty??

I tried to queue up but most of them have no players..... quite frustrating. Soni have to keep playig the same few missions over and over again to gain reputation points.

I was testing these out on Tribble, and ………. well, they work too good.
From what I can tell, after receiving about 5 to 7 shots my attacker gets Placated
Does CtrlX play a factor?

Lets say I have 150 CtrlX……
My attacker has 76 CtrlX……
Now because I have not doubled his CtrlX, the Placated should not work, it should only work on those with 75 or less, not to mention those with Control Resistance needs 4X

It seems like to me that this Placate is occurring regardless of CtrlX levels, I cant tell for sure, I need someone to help me test this out that has these Shields, I can adjust my CtrlX levels and we can see if this works.

If the Placate is happening every 5 to 7 shots then this is...……… hmmm...…… needs to be fix.

1-3 players looking for Fleet

$

I am looking for a fleet. I have two friends who'd probably join with me. All three are long-time players returning after an extended absence.

The fleet culture I am looking for is a bunch of people who want to push their effectiveness, and that of their fleetmates, to higher levels.
The thing I plan to get out of the fleet is improving my build and having a team to smash content with.
The thing I plan for the fleet to get out of me is reciprocated and paid-forward teaching and testing. Plus having a teammate to smash content with.
I want to be able to buy stuff from fleet stores without a big song and dance routine. Stuff will get donated to projects.

My favorite superhero is Superman. Pina coladas and getting caught in the rain aren't the worst thing, but mojitos and sunshine are better. The best part of STO is dress-up. If your fleet has "Elite" or "Dark" in the name, please don't recruit me.

Do Klingon and Romulan captains experience the battlecloak bug?

$
0

I am not reporting a bug. This bug has already been reported several times. I am asking out of concern if Klingon and Romulan captains have experienced the battle cloak bug. I am referring to the bug where the ship gets stuck in cloak for a bit and cannot uncloak. Cloaking is a fundamental feature of those factions and I would hate to spend money on a Klingon or Romulan ship and have the cloak bug out.

Right now I experience this bug on my t6 Valiant class starship. I play on Xbox one. Spamming the cloak button or holding it down seems to break the cloak most of the time. Is this a problem only with certain ships or all ships that can battle cloak?
