Phased Tetryon DBB bound to character

I have a Dual beam-bank phased Tetryon MKXII that is somehow bound to character, where as the cannons, arrays and turrets are all account bound.

the dual beam bank was bought from the exchange but didn't think to check for the "character bind on equip" notice, since other lockbox weapons are all bind to account on equip... except this one piece.

is this a bug or intentional?

Starfleet Liberty Force is recruiting for a different kind of social gaming. Membership satisfaction is our focus and we are not the corporate like entity kind of fleet. We bring in the social connection that most fleets lack and we are proud to put you in the center of the action.

Wouldn't you rather be part of an exciting group of gamers who care about each other instead of being a mere number in a fleet's roster?

Are you tired of looking for fleets that have no goals in making a difference for member satisfaction.

If you answer to any of these questions is yes then join us in the success story of a well established and friendly "Starfleet Liberty Force". Starfleet's finest fleet...where you always have a voice and input...

We are not the small kind of fleet struggling to grow but we are a well established and large enough fleet to accommodate all kinds of players from different gaming preferences and timezones.

Happy gaming!!!

It's nice that PS4 and Xbox are getting the Ho'kuun, but does that mean we won't be getting the Bajoran Interceptor and its attendant space set (console and warp core)? Will the rewards for the featured episode be changed as well, since those went with the Bajoran bits included with the interceptor?

An Introduction to The House of Kular

NEH DAQ MAY' 'OH TLHINGAN TEH TLHINGAN
ONLY IN BATTLE IS A KLINGON TRULY KLINGON

The House of Kular, or HoK for short, is the United Federation of Planets (UFP) division responsible for the support of STO's Klingon faction, along with all Klingon-aligned Romulans.
HoK supports the Klingon faction through three primary fields: Fleet Management, Event Support, and Forum Support. HoK manages all of this with a great team of staff filling several different roles, including:

Battle Officers: HoKs front-line warriors responsible for the planing and hosting of events for UFP's Klingon population.

Battle Masters: The staff responsible for maintaining HoK's fleet holdings, and making sure there is always projects available for members to earn Fleet Credits.

Orion Syndicate Traders: Members entrusted with looking after HoK's fleet banks, and acquiring rare & expensive items to sell in our Fleet Shop at a discount.

Positions in these job rolls are often available for members who are interested in giving something back to the community.

What The House of Kular offers it members:

  • Fleet Management: In total HoK manages a grand total of eight holdings and two banks spread across two fleets in-game, of which the main fleet has every upgrade complete (until they add the next one). Along with invites, promotions, Roll Call processing and the messages of the day - HoK is, partly, our in-game admin power-horse for the Klingon Defense Force.
  • Event Support: If fleet management is the pint, events are the blood wine. Supported through a dedicated event team, the largest portion of HoK's staff sees to this field with complete focus. Including but not limited to all end-game PvE content runs, themed PvP events, Bat'leth competitions, and massive Fleet Days - there is something for everyone.
  • Forum Support: Finally, HoK support's STO's Klingon faction on the UFP's forums. Under these forums members can discuss, among themselves, builds, upcoming content, make guides, and most importantly request an invite to the fleet.

When attempting to launch the game we get this. Error unable to establish a connection to the patch server. I normally do not have issues with this but every so often it happens. I can't attach screen shots due to lack of Arc internal image hosting.

Any way to auto block fleet invites on Xbox One?

Hello,
Two of my items after last patch have lost 3 modifiers. They are both lobi store items upgraded to epic level. So they were both expensive for lobi used and also for the upgrades used.
Before latest patch they had all the 5 modifiers. The items belong to two different characters.
I asked GM help in game 3 times but didn't get any answer. Here are the screenshots:

Fleet Colony Coffer Display Issue

Hello after chatting with another player in another fleet couple of days ago, we came to the conclusion that the Fleet Colony Provisions Coffer Tab does not update visually unless donated to, or a Fleet project is donated to. Which makes it hard to tell if this on player side, or server. All I know is it seemed to occur after some patch, somewhat ago. Also it makes it hard to tell if a specific Colony holding is correctly autocollecting the right amount of Colony Provisions (specifically my fleet is the Renewable Energy Battery Provisions).

So has anyone else seen this bug? This is different from the player donation to coffer bug from months ago.

Tal Shiar Turkey Shoot

So I've finally managed to get the foundry to load after a lot of back and forth with support. I've updated my old mission(see title) so that the hook is now in sector space(wasn't an option when I first made it). I've also figured out how to costume the ships in mission so I'm working on making things a bit more visually interesting.
Three questions tho:
1)The grant mission dialogue uses a Romulan Tal Shiar Captain for the character and it won't let me select the Republic Captain costume I made. I can do this for the two other instances of dialogue but not this initial one. What am I doing wrong?
2)Is there a way to make a "Romulan Battleship" actually a Ha'apax or other vessel? As in not just throw a costume on a D'derp. Like if I want an actual Aelahl instead of Mogai in my mission.
3)Someone told me you can clone(copy) an entire project at one time so its a ton easier to make a KDF side version, how does one do that?

mid-game patching and how quickly can we toss it in the bin?

So, I make no attempt to hide that I HATE ground content in STO, so when someone eventually convinces me to do a couple of runs to mix things up a bit, it goes without saying that I've probably not even seen the mission in literally years (unless it hasn't existed that long, obvs) and so mostly just run around shooting stuff kinda half-randomly. However, that's nothing compared to the infuriation when you're trying to simply load the damned thing and you get hit with this:
https://imgur.com/NFeNgD4 (img bb code seemingly doesn't like 'imgur' because 'img' :/ )
For about 5 minutes and have the mission show as failed before you've even spawned...
Oh, not to mention that LOVELY AFK penalty because the patch server screwed me. Thanks for that.

If you're going to run downtime for hours every week with a patch, could you perhaps make sure these mid-game patches are included? Yes, I realise that not everyone is going to use every piece of needed material included in such a patch. Yes, I realise that this will put additional strain on your patch server. Yes, I realise that a lot of that will in essence be wasted time for you however, it's 2 minutes to make sure it's included in the weekly patch instead of loading-screen patched and it betters player experience.

The Trouble with Trolls - Suggested change to Ignore Player feature

$
0
0
For a dispute between normal players, ignoring someone is usually the end of the problem, but Trolls require that extra steps be taken.

Currently when you ignore a player, you no longer hear them, but that person still has all kinds of ways to mess with you, which results in harassment tickets being sent to support, which no one wants to deal with.

So, here's a solution that you already have halfway (more like 90%) in place. When a player accrues a certain number of ignores (10?) from people in the same zone, that person is automatically moved to another instance (or a new instance).

Trolls can do Troll things in their own instance, and regular players can live happily ever after, never bothering support ever again.

Seems easy to do, and it's long overdue.
