Just wondered if there are any items, consoles, traits etc, that generate threat other than the ones I already know about:

Threatening stance
Attract fire
Embassy console
Aduk'Khan doff
Manacing trait
Imposing presence trait
Diversionary tactics

Any thing I may have missed? Thanks in advance :)

An Introduction to The House of Kular

NEH DAQ MAY' 'OH TLHINGAN TEH TLHINGAN
ONLY IN BATTLE IS A KLINGON TRULY KLINGON

The House of Kular, or HoK for short, is the United Federation of Planets (UFP) division responsible for the support of STO's Klingon faction, along with all Klingon-aligned Romulans.
HoK supports the Klingon faction through three primary fields: Fleet Management, Event Support, and Forum Support. HoK manages all of this with a great team of staff filling several different roles, including:

Battle Officers: HoKs front-line warriors responsible for the planing and hosting of events for UFP's Klingon population.

Battle Masters: The staff responsible for maintaining HoK's fleet holdings, and making sure there is always projects available for members to earn Fleet Credits.

Orion Syndicate Traders: Members entrusted with looking after HoK's fleet banks, and acquiring rare & expensive items to sell in our Fleet Shop at a discount.

Positions in these job rolls are often available for members who are interested in giving something back to the community.

What The House of Kular offers it members:

  • Fleet Management: In total HoK manages a grand total of eight holdings and two banks spread across two fleets in-game, of which the main fleet has every upgrade complete (until they add the next one). Along with invites, promotions, Roll Call processing and the messages of the day - HoK is, partly, our in-game admin power-horse for the Klingon Defense Force.
  • Event Support: If fleet management is the pint, events are the blood wine. Supported through a dedicated event team, the largest portion of HoK's staff sees to this field with complete focus. Including but not limited to all end-game PvE content runs, themed PvP events, Bat'leth competitions, and massive Fleet Days - there is something for everyone.
  • Forum Support: Finally, HoK support's STO's Klingon faction on the UFP's forums. Under these forums members can discuss, among themselves, builds, upcoming content, make guides, and most importantly request an invite to the fleet.

well, I must say that the old ones was better. the animations for the feminine stance are really weird, not natural at all. So weird, that I changed the stance of my main.

Feeling rather peeved... what does RANDOM mean to you?

$

So... I like the Random button on the PvE queues. I like it picking something and surprising me. However, lately, there's no surprises. The last 113 times I pressed it, it's that Mycelial Realm mission. Bad enough it's Discovery content (which I loathe). Worse, it's chock full of constant, nearly continuous teleports, holds, stuns and whatnot (not difficult, but REALLY irritating). But then, to stick me with it EVERY time I select a "random" mission? I do not think that word means what they think it means.

So, sick to death of doing the same mission over and over and over (and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over...etc.), I finally quit and get stuck with a 30 minute penalty.

Very annoying and frustrating.

I hope they're planning of fixing this if it's a bug. If it's NOT, then they deserve a bit of ire.

Star Trek Universe

Please add more NPC cameos (like Shon, Franklin Drake and so on)

$

I personally would love to see more cameos of NPCs that we met earlier in the storylines such as Captain Shon, Commander Kurland and Franklin Drake (the section 31 guy).

Of course such as Commander Kurland is more or less bound to DS9 if there is a great war / fight coming up (such as the iconian war) it would make sense to include him. Unfortunately he wasn't part of the new DS9 story episodes. Maybe I am the only one liking him.

For Shon and the Enterprise I think it makes sense to see them more often - he could have easily replace the new Andorian captain in the new episode (beneath the skin). He only shows up in the story very late at the end of the fight and only if you do not kill the last enemies too fast and he has no impact on the story, no dialog, just helps in the battle (which is better than nothing of course). I hope we will see more of him and the Enterprise.

And Franklin Drake should not be so hard to include either.

Of course, no idea if the voice actors are still available but again, just my opinion that I like to see more of them in the future.

With one exception: I have enough of Sela for a lifetime - I don't want to see her again for a very long time.

How about you? Happy to leave the older NPCs behind or any favourites you like to see?

Why can't I have both an Andrea Robot BOFF and a Brown at the same time?

I really wanted to get both an Andrea and a Brown Robot from the Fleet K7, so I saved up...but then wasn't allowed to buy a Brown, because I already had an Andrea. Why is there a restriction on having both, or am I doing something wrong? I do have space for more BOFF's, so I know it's not that.

Directed to Dev: There are changes and additions I'd like to see.

$

Sorry if this is the wrong area for this, I find Forums confusing and counter-productive.

I'd like to see list:
1. In the Earth Space Dock, have one of our favorite Bridge Officers following us. I take pride in the customization I've done, and like to show it off.

2. I'd like to see missions that build on our character's back story. For example, we start with a vanilla character, we can choose a mission, where they are assimilated and freed by Bridge Officers then back with Borg enhancements. Or go back in time and return half Klingon, or Half Vulcan, etc, with special abilities from the changes.

3. I like adding Borg enhancements, 'Visuals' (Deflector, Impulse, and shields), to my ships. I think with the added look, it should include added features like an extra weapon or weapon slot. I like Borg, others may like Iconian, or etc.

4. Elisa Flores should also be an option when creating your character. What is she in the story, a clone? Everybody has her as a first officer. I guess I can Discharge her, but she's in the storyline. Also, a first officer should have some kind of enhancement to show she's special above all others. My number 1.

5. I want to turn off the pop up notification that pops up everytime I log in. I don't want to be notified what my next mission is. I can read it on the side under my mini map.

6. Please add more hair styles, STO looks like a punch of clones trying to look different. What is this Star Wars Clone wars?

7. Add mini games/holodeck at Earth Space Dock, so we can test new weapons. Oh, beam weapons are stupid. I HATE seeing my Bridge officers point straight but the beam points at a different direction. (Minor point, but worth mentioning)

8. More to come...

P.S. - Thanks for new content and changes. I became a lifetime member even though I almost completed the game on my once free account. I'm on STO almost everyday. From fine tuning my ships to customizing my bridge officers, I do appreciate everything you've done. I don't agree with allot of the new content recently, but I support STO for years to come. Now get on the changes you highly paid computer nerds. :) Kidding.

Colour Guide: Terran Empire Captain/Commander (Discovery Uniforms)

$

I hope I can justify a thread for this here. I tried doing it myself by comparing the two closest colours I think that match with the on-camera show and in-game colours of Terran Disco uniforms. Now I know there is no set rule but I was trying to match the NPCs in the game. Most people think A20 represents the gold chest piece/shoulder/belt. I feel it looks way too dull. You know like a dirty bronze/brown rather than gold. It could be the poor lighting though.

5zfvmaa.jpg

I went with A9 it looked more golden compared to A20 and overall just looks more brighter like the one on the show.

dOwAfS6.jpg
img-0574.jpg

The thing is it was driving me nuts that the colours weren't quite right. So I ended up running Pahvo mission wearing both uniforms and comparing them to Killy's model.

STO_MirrorOfDiscovery_Screenshot_01_Killy.png

She is definitely wearing A20 (I think).

eb97f58eb39dfee99d1117be1a477dd61547518450.jpg

Then I look at the promo of the uniforms and they look more like A9, especially the officer/security uniforms.

PS. also noticed that the uniform suit (entire suit under the armour) looks like a deep navy blue in-game. I have seen fan art depicting that as well. Except the TV uniforms look black or are my eyes deceiving me?

What does everyone else think?

Discovery/Tardigrade case dismissed
