Why Can't You Delete Ship Loadouts?

$

I really don't understand why they don't let you delete ship loadouts. Surely it's just saved information and that information should be able to be deleted as well as rewritten.

No where on the shop description does it state that loadouts cannot be deleted.

I've got a fleet Malem so deleting my ship isn't an option as I refuse to buy it again, just to get back loadouts that I've used.

I wouldn't have used as many as I did if it had stated that you can't delete them and the loadout load messed up anyway through no fault of my own (it basically swapped some of my tray icons around and removed one or two -how a save can save things in the wrong place is beyond me and a save shouldn't work that way- lol, also it refuses to place two of my consoles into their slots no matter how many times I try to save it) so I saved the proper layout again in the hopes that it would work then I'd delete the broken one. Now I'm stuck with loadouts that I'll never use and won't be able to use on my other ships.

D'kyr / Tal'Kyr glitch

Long time player and lover of Star Trek; I've spent a fair bit of cash on this game and I just got a D'Ky Science Vessel(The Vulcan ship) and it came with a free GLITCH... When I try to "Deploy Support Craft" the shuttle thing comes off the cruiser, floats behind me, flies ahead, suddenly appears behind me again and docks. All inside of half a minute or so. Anyone else encounter this? It is irritating and makes buying the ship feel like a rip-off; is there a fix? Might this be a problem to be solved in a patch? Any assistance is appreciated.

What the UFPlanets.com Community asks of its gaming members (what we call the Starfleet branch):

All that members are asked for from the UFPlanets.com Community is simple and easy. Members are asked to sign the Community Roll Call which happens on a monthly basis. This can be done fairly easily with just a few clicks of the mouse. The second is to adhere to our simple Community code of conduct.

Why should I join the UFPlanets.com Community?

Our gaming fleet, known as 'The United Federation of Planets', has been voted the world's number one Star Trek gaming fleet and for good reason, we have a large and friendly membership, dedicated officers and an award winning website and forums all of which is in addition to our strong support for a range of Star Trek titles some of which we are able to provide to our members for free!

We're eager to build on our success and develop an equally impressive Star Trek community where fans of all ages from around the world can enjoy a truly authentic and entertaining Star Trek social experience.

Despite our achievements and successes we are aware that our community might not be for everyone so if you would like to know more please feel free to pay us a visit at www.ufplanets.com to find out more about us.

To those interested in Armada Partnerships:

We are very interested in finding reputable and well-respected community partners to form new relationships. The UFP Armada is designed with a community focus at the forefront and we have been an influential part of the Star Trek gaming scene for over 13 years. What separates our Armada from others you may come across is our dedication to members and those wishing to align themselves with us.

We have an extensive history with STO, including interviews with influential developers, assistants and stars with more planned for the future. We also have a number of dedicated STO players who are always willing to help others out with builds, tips and tricks, helping players with their own goals, or just getting together for fun.

The UFP is currently spread across 5 total fleets, 3 Federation and 2 KDF. We have a 60 day inactivity policy enforced for our primary fleets, but our alt fleets are unrestricted. The UFP currently has over 1300 active characters and 600 unique STO members.

We would like to be your home away from home among the stars. We support autonomy for all armada members, but we will also work to ensure that you have representation and a voice in matters affecting relations between different groups, the management of armada features, and an open line of communication to discuss concerns and questions. Your fleet will be recognized as an important part of our greater community!

Romulan vs. Nausicaan Boff

$

All else being equal - and recognizing that it never truly is - which adds more overall assuming you only have space for one or the other in you bridge lineup.

A Nausicaan Boff with Pirate (+1.5% damage)

A Romulan Boff with Superior Romulan Operative (+2% chance / +5% severity)

Is there common wisdom on this topic or is this really just another calculation of Expected Value on the probability distributions of damage like weapons modifiers.

Secondly, why aren't all DPS toons Romulans who join the Klingons so that you can have five Romulan/Nausicaan boffs in whichever combination you prefer?

An Introduction to The House of Kular

NEH DAQ MAY' 'OH TLHINGAN TEH TLHINGAN
ONLY IN BATTLE IS A KLINGON TRULY KLINGON

The House of Kular, or HoK for short, is the United Federation of Planets (UFP) division responsible for the support of STO’s Klingon faction, along with all Klingon-aligned Romulans.
HoK supports the Klingon faction through three primary fields: Fleet Management, Event Support, and Forum Support. HoK manages all of this with a great team of staff filling several different roles, including:

Battle Officers: HoKs front-line warriors responsible for the planing and hosting of events for UFP's Klingon population.

Battle Masters: The staff responsible for maintaining HoK's fleet holdings, and making sure there is always projects available for members to earn Fleet Credits.

Orion Syndicate Traders: Members entrusted with looking after HoK's fleet banks, and acquiring rare & expensive items to sell in our “Fleet Shop” at a discount.

Positions in these job rolls are often available for members who are interested in giving something back to the community.

What The House of Kular offers it members:

  • Fleet Management: In total HoK manages a grand total of eight holdings and two banks spread across two fleets in-game, of which the main fleet has every upgrade complete (until they add the next one). Along with invites, promotions, Roll Call processing and the messages of the day - HoK is, partly, our in-game admin power-horse for the Klingon Defense Force.
  • Event Support: If fleet management is the pint, events are the blood wine. Supported through a dedicated event team, the largest portion of HoK’s staff sees to this field with complete focus. Including but not limited to all end-game PvE content runs, themed PvP events, Bat'leth competitions, and massive “Fleet Days” - there is something for everyone.
  • Forum Support: Finally, HoK support’s STO’s Klingon faction on the UFP’s forums. Under these forums members can discuss, among themselves, builds, upcoming content, make guides, and most importantly request an invite to the fleet.

Looking for some advice please guys.

I have not played this game in several months. In fact maybe over a year now. I used to have a monthly sub set up, every 6 months or a year I think it may have been.

Anyway long story short, I have just been charged for my sub again even though I d not play the game anymore :-(

I did not realise it was recurring thing ! I thought I bought a sub for a set amount of time and then when it expired I take it out again, should I wish to do so.

But the money was just taken directly without my say so via PayPal. I guess it's some dirty small print somewhere........

What action can I take please to recover these funds ?

Rules/tips:
  • No NSFW stuff.
  • Everyone controls their own RP characters.
  • In general, it's best to 'conveniently omit' context that denotes your character as "the player/the one" from in-game, and, rather, generalize events for RP-thread continuity.
  • The RP is in a perpetual state of the year 2410 (until the game moves forward).

Types of play (can combine more than one):
  • Integrated with story - Join other Captains in solving an issue
  • One off/or more than one off - Like a mini fanfic, make a short stop to replenish supplies, drop prisoners, etc.
  • Side story - Posts about stuff your Captain is dealing with. Can work well with "Integrated with story".
  • (That's all I can think of right now. There's probably more ways.)

Elections for the Office of President of the Federation 2016

The Commission for Presidential Elections is pleased to welcome you to the 2016 elections for president of the federation. There are currently three candidates for the job: Nanov the Nanov, Porthos the farting Dog and Spot the Traumatised Cat.

Some sponsored information regarding our candidates:

Nanov the Nanov, supported by the Vote Nanov 2016 campaign, who have brought you the Nanov LX™ luxury pet/premium financial product, Nanovette™ bridge officer/attorney-at-law and the Winter Nanov™ duty officer trio, is a candidate whose motto is simple: Nanov for everyone. Nanovs were given freely to visitors to New Romulus when the New republic was established, however the Tal Shiar conspired to deny the galaxy the love of Nanov. Nanov the Nanov will make sure that everyone gets a Nanov!

Porthos, the farting dog, supported by the Council for methanogenic K9 from K-13, is a lactose intolerant canine whose main goal is to pollute the air and eat forbidden things. It is currently under investigation for the murder of Jonathan Archer by asphyxiation.

Spot the Cat, supported by the Council for Felines Victims of Android abuse, is a traumatised cat who kept being lost on the decks of the U.S.S. Enterprise-D by its forgetful owner, the Android Data. As a result, Spot has been engaging in acts of vandalism throughout the galaxy.

Please cast your votes! The outcome will serve to pressure the Cryptic Overlords into (re-)adding the selected president to the game!

Future ship class names

I'm wondering if future starfleet ship classes can be named for WW1 figures or ships, like an escort named for Imperial German general Von Lettow, probably the only successful General of the conflict, or Hans Rose, U-Boat Commander who likely saved more enemy sailors than killed.

There's also the HMAS Carmania, so as not to be too pro-German, which maybe the only ship in history to attack "itself", actually SMS Cap Trafalgar in the worst disguise choice in history.

2. Do I need to recraft the MK XII armors to do so even though I have the sets at Mk XIV VR/UR/Epic?

Thank oyu.

Spacedock/First City! Discussion Thread

Discussion thread for Star Trek Online: Earth Spacedock and First City! (And to a lesser extent, the craziness of The Adventures of Earth Spacedock!)

This thread:
- Collab story ideas with someone.
- Any comments on the RP.
- Post pics and bg info of your Captains/ships/crews.
- Get clarification from other posters, or post ideas on direction.
- Thoughts on ways to improve the RP.

RP-thread rules/tips:
  • No NSFW stuff.
  • Don't take over other people's RP characters (unless they're okay with it).
  • In general, you should 'conveniently omit' context that denotes your character as "the player/the one" from in-game, and, rather, generalize events, so as to maintain a shared semi-non-conflicting RP-thread continuity. Will require your creativity! [Notes: It is not to say your character didn't engage in specific episodes/events, but not to specify they did either.] [Exceptions: Large scale events, like fleet battles (i.e. The Iconian attack at Earth, or general Na'Khul alerts) are ok to mention, but may still require some generalization. Use your best judgement!] For major exceptions to this rule, see the discussion thread for an ongoing list of episode/event involvement.

Ok people. Looking for recremedations for a new ship (maybe) and some skill tree stuff, and a general build for an engineer/cruiser. I like phasers for the look, with quantum/photons. Currently flying the t6 exploration cruiser that I got during a promotion, liking it so far. It only does like 6k dps but it has all my old gear that's xi and xii, because I just got back in the game after leaving back in 2014. I stay alive, and seem to hold some Agro when I use Agro buffs.
