I could honestly see a effort to make this series a good solid series for both the KDF and the FED. In the end it really felt like a mess to me. So I will start at the beginning, Klingons conquer. Who ever wrote this series was clearly a fed fan boy, and a fed player. Not only did this series try to portray the Klingons as non aggressive reasonable warriors, but it also set up the Chancellor, he proved himself weak. Even more so he was ready to surrender the Klingon empire by joining the Federation and the Romulans. He needs to die now to put it simply. He needs to be replaced by a true Klingon. I just get the feeling devs you guys have never seen half of the Klingon star trek episodes. If you had you would understand what I am saying. Thank goodness for the assassination attempt. I was no happy where that episode was going.
Now to the big problem. To all the level 60s with upgraded gear, and fancy weapons of mass destruction from reputations, please dont even bother reading this next part. It will be way over your head. The crowd control against the player on this series was out of control, and the one shot one kill aoes from enemy npcs was was way out of control. Not only did I lose control of my ship several times, but I also got hit with nearly one shot one kill debuffs that just eroded my hulls hit points. The science space aoes were being flung so much it was not even funny. On the ground you had to deal with the Immune shields popping up all the time and aoes being flung at you that could kill most of your bridge officers, and bring you with in a inch of your life. Yes I know I know get out of the way. Just one problem the roll to get out of the way does not always kick off when it is supposed. My suggestion on this front leave the crowd control out of normal difficulty along with the insane aoes, and keep that sort of stuff in the Elite difficulty. This way someone with basic gear does not have to die a million times over. In the old days you got gear and you were good to go. Now and days you have to spend a **** ton of dilithium to upgrade gear to get it to a point of Elite difficulty. Kinda makes the whole situation problematic. My point is the gear level gap is pretty large right now. Even the rep gear comes out as Mk XII but not Mk XIV. Each piece of that can cost 500 marks with a special item requirement in the range of five.
Last but not least you tried to cram too much into one small series. It did not turn out well. The poor Romulans really you guys did not need to drive the killing blow into them, but I guess you have no self control at all. The Romulans join the Federation in the Future. This is kind of the whole problem I guess I got with this story line. It felt like a massive shine job for the Fed player base, and was completely unrealistic given the state of the star trek story.
I realize my words were harsh but I dont mess around when I got something to say. One last point the next series you come up with. I have a small suggestion. It will require twice the amount of work but needs to be done. Due to what you did with the leader of the high council. He must die, I recommend a series specifically for the KDF, that involves him dying and more Klingon character to take his place. Then give the feds a first contact/ exploration series to make them happy.
One last point unless I am mistaken it is never said in the Enterprise series that the entire Klingon Empire joined the Federation. If I remember correctly it said some Klingons joined the Federation.
