I would be really grateful if someone could resolve this for me.
Items purchased from 23c vendor can freely be swapped between characters, but once I upgraded them, they bound. Last weekend, I have purchased some 23c phaser pistols and rifles from 23c vendor and sent them to my crafting toon to upgrade, with intentions of sending them back to the 23c toon once upgrades are done...but as soon as they increased in quality, they bound.
I have already submitted ticket #160724-005040....after a week of e-mailing back and forth with support, they sent me a message that they are unable to help as the items are bind on pickup. The person handling my ticket did not seem to understand the issue, perhaps there was a language barrier, as he seemed to be copy\pasting generic questions\replies. As I explained in the original ticket...my issue is precisely that items are NOT bind on pickup (as I could freely swap them between multiple characters), but that they bind when upgraded - without any prompt. After a couple of e-mails more, they directed me to submit a bug report.
I can see that there is no support to be had from customer support - you guys are my last recourse.
I like to think that I'm a reasonable person and I know that bugs are inevitable in any game...I have accepted a lot of minor
issues over the years, following that logic. Overall the game is great, I'm really grateful for it and I won't sweat the little things.
But two of those pistols\rifles hit ultra rare...upgrading them items cost me over 100k of dilithium, and a large amount of crafting materials...having them bug-bound to wrong character feels like a gut-shot. It's just...unfair.
If you look at my account you can see that I have been a long-time supporter of the game...I purchase items whenever a new season comes and enjoy doing so. This is the first time that I requested assistance in those 3 years.That being said, I am not looking for any kind of preferential treatment...just that a straightforward bug be fixed.
I have always been glad to support the game and fully intend to continue doing so, but come on, be fair - you have to offer some support in
return.
Please find the details outlining my issue, below:
1-Items are NOT bind-on-pickup.
Toon saarik@valusolus has purchased them from a 23c vendor , carried them in his inventory, placed into bank and back into inventory...did not bind.
Items were then sent via account bank to another toon (olmak@valusolus) who placed them into his inventory, carried them for a while....did not bind, either.
During item upgrade event, I have upgraded several of those items - as soon as they were upgraded, they would automatically bind to character.
2-Unupgraded items remain unbound - upgraded have bound.
3-There was absolutely no bind-prompt.
4-Issue occurred shortly before I submitted the ticket (sometime on Saturday, I think). I have also notified support via tech support chat.
5-I have googled the error , as well as asked around in-game and:
This seems to be a known issue that has been reported since tribble and occurs at random, always with 23c phaser pistols and rifles
6-Items need to be unbound from the current character (olmak@valusolus)
-Items need to be sent to the correct toon - (saarik@valusolus) ...as he is a 23c character
I don't mind if items are account-bound, only that I can switch characters.
Please, help.
