On TOS ESD, you get a mission to buy a shuttle. They only cost 1 credit, but at that point, I had 0 credits, and hadn't looted anything. I still had the consumables that I started with, so I sold those and was able to go on, but perhaps it makes more sense to reward some credits just before the mission to ensure players don't get stuck there with no cash and nothing to sell.
Also, the shuttle is able to take all of the modern skins and paint jobs. It should be constrained to TOS era looks, like the other ships.
